How does it work?
1. Sign up
- Register once for free via the website or app using the ‘Create account’ button.
- Enter your details correctly.
- Your data will only be used for STROOMkast.
- During registration, your bank account will be verified via a €0.30 debit.
- Choose a password and keep it safe.
2. Using a connection
- Always log in via the app.
- Select the desired connection.
- Scan the QR code or enter the four-digit number to start a session.
- You can also search for nearby connections in the app.
- After selecting a connection, the applicable usage rates are shown.
- You can only use the connection at times when the operator has granted permission.
3. Costs and payment
- The app gives you an overview of all your details and invoices.
- You pay no subscription fees.
- Any usage costs are set by the owner and may vary.
- The app shows your current consumption and any costs in real time.
- After ending a session, the costs are collected automatically.
- Any outstanding payment obligations will result in your account being blocked.
4. Unlocking the electric lock
- Use the QR code scanner in the app and scan the door.
- Or enter the lock number.
- Then select “Start connection” and “Open” in the app.
- The door is unlocked when the green light on the front is on.
- Press firmly on the underside of the swing handle so it flips forward.
- Turn the swing handle to unlock the door.
5. Troubleshooting
- If the connection is not supplying power, first check whether it has been released for use.
- STROOMkast communicates via mobile networks; during peak times it may take a moment for a request to be processed.
- To reset the protection, press the “Restart connection” button in the app.
- Leave the plug in the socket while restarting.
- Make sure the cause of the fault has been resolved before you try again.
6. App not working
- Make sure you have a data connection.
- You must be logged in with a valid account.
- Ensure that your location services (GPS) are turned on.
- Check your settings in the app via menu → about → debug, and run the GPS check.
